Happy Leap Day everyone! Hey, had to do it – it only comes once every four years! Now, for a little Leap Day fun, I thought I’d share a whole new avenue for wedding industry peeps that I don’t think most if us have considered – the toy industry! OK, more specifically, the doll industry.

Team Jacob peeps, you might need to look away, because Mattel has introduced Bella and Edward wedding dolls {of Twilight fame, as if I had to tell you} from the most anticipated wedding of 2011 {ok, maybe the second biggest behind Kate and William…}. In part 1 of Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Bella and Edward finally tie the knot, though I wonder if they included the whole “till death to us part” bit…hmmm.

Either way, Twilight lovers will delight in these meticulously detailed dolls, with Bella’s wedding dress, hairstyle and even engagement ring looking pretty darn close to the real thing. The Edward doll looks just as dapper – and even as pale – as the real Edward as he finally married Bella.

But don’t forget – Mattel wasn’t the only biz to marry the Twilight wedding with its company – right after the movie came out in theaters, designer Alfred Angelo got in on the Twilight craze with a Bella-inspired wedding gown that any bride could wear to marry their forever-love!

What iconic bride and groom would you love to see turned into dolls?
